Revamp of grow area

Revamped original grow area in my room. I need to change out the 4" filter and fan with a 6" fan and filter then hang the door, cut a tarp tub for the floor and its ready for its first run. Started out with 2 flourescent shop lights and a space blanket for reflection about 5 years ago. Currently running 600 watt HPS with all 4 walls covered in mylar, darkened out with heavy poly tarp skin over 2x2 frame and a door made from a sheet of luan. This will be the new 12/12 area, I still need to darken the filter area, alot of light showing through it. Will have it finished and ready for the first day of flower on Friday. I have 3 Northern Lights females that have been in vegg since early November. Now I need to paint the rest of the room white to cover this dark blue walls

Yo there Woodsman got some big gals for that new area looks great I'm going for a longer than normal photo veg also do to them autos in there with them. They'll be near the 3month old stage by the time i flip to 12/12. I'm looking forward to super crop most if not all.

explain darken filter area please - not sure if you mean intake fan or exhaust.

I have a air intake on the front, covered in a Carbon pet and smoke furnace filter to allow air in but not light. However light seems to penetrate as well. I am going to double up on the filters first to try and alleviate the light leak but most likely will use landscape cloth.

I am behind but finally got the new area closed in, ventilation added and new Phresh filter in. I had a slight MS symptoms influx you could say, so the current door is a wool army blanket, but room is dark, temps are under control, plants look happy on day 2. Moving my 6" fan and filter into the area, approx 5x6x8, dropped the temps almost 10 degrees which i needed. My first grow with Northern Lights, the trio has filled out.
