oldjarhead100 Thanks mate, As an aside we have had 3 going 4 days of fairly non stop torrential soddin rain,,,,man alive but it grinds you down...it`s currently 90% humidity....phew.....thank the gods I`ve got a volcano
 
Erm...well, there have been many uses of the word Kip....going to a whore used to be one of them but having a kip now means sleep...having a quick kip, a half hour kip...means a bit of shut eye...spot on with honk though....have you never heard of those? Pretty common....now a mate of mine confused me t`other day with the word mandy....means moody and is a Northern word but they`re a strange talking bunch up there. Another is Gurt as in gurt lush....like that...so, that`s a right gurt lush bit of weed you`ve got there, luv...got it?
 
I'd say that's a girt lush vocabulary you blokes 'ave over yonder across the wee ocean, mate....

PaganRich the southerners here think the northern people talk strange to and visa versa we say beera and baal paark and they say over yonder and yall lol and when a yankie and southerner talk we sometimes have alot of trouble understanding each other
 
oldjarhead100 I was in a meeting today with a lass from Belfast, Northern Ireland which is a tad harsher than the Southern Irish tongue....that was hard work trying to understand her and it can`t be more than a four hundred miles difference between us but my mate lives up North near Nottingham as in Robin Hood and when he`s had a few and the dialect`s strong, tis hard. I remember once watching these 3 lads with the arab headscarves on pledging death and destruction as some do but they had these strong Brummie (Birmingham area) accents-fair did me head in. With Americans I find you`re very neutral in your phrasing and on the whole, incredibly polite but I might just have been lucky on that last bit but I couldn`t tell you guys apart as to North or South. I was thinking of popping over there to do the Civil War battlefields at some point but Asia is screaming...decisions decisions...probably end up staying at home though the WW1 battlefields are tempting whilst I think about it. My daughter wants me to take her to Auschwitz as she feels that you should see that...she said she would probably shed a tear, I told her I`d be howling....
 
My uncle`s jewish-great religion and great country and superb special forces. If I wasn`t Buddhist I`d probably be either Jewish or Sikh but I`m hard core Buddhist with strong Mongolian tendancies and a strong appreciation towards my Norse and Anglo Saxon breathren. I travel wildly in my ethnic preferences :)
