Recommend Auto light schedule?

I have photos in with my autos i need to change the lighting to 12/12 how will this effect the auto?

My first run with autos was piggyback on some flowering photos. 12/12 from seed. I was transitioning from photo to auto. My autos still put out some bud ! One auto didn't get weighed but the one that I did weigh, was over 3oz. It can be done. The quality will likely be there, but the quantity may or may not suffer.

I grew my Autos at 18/6 for the first 7 weeks then switched to 12/12 as I’ve got a photo in the tent that I wanted to flower. They had done all their veg growing so I don’t think there will be much difference in yield as if I’d left them at 18/6 all the way. Autos are crossed with ruderalis but are not true ruderalis so they may benefit from a dark period in some way.

24 hrs of light until the seedling reaches node 4-5, then 20/4 until the last two weeks of flower- when I switch to 24/0.
That said , it's cold now and I keep them on 24/0 for heat.

FastBuds recommends 14-18 hrs light for their "Mexican Airlines" auto.
I agree, more light will produce more yield- but the cost of electricity exceeds the value of additional product for any light schedule over 18/6.

I started growing autos to fill spaces in my photoperiod grows- so 12/12 works, too.

I've only ever done 24 hrs of light with autos.. I get anywhere from 4-8 ozs. off one auto... Never pay attention to breeders time frame or light suggestions... They have to be conservative and make us all believe it's easy and we are all equals in growing knowledge.. they suggest what is easy for everyone.. It's up to you to make your own way and push the limits..

question
when i switch to 12/12 i was going to use my 1000w hps
im currently running 400w mh
will the 1000w be too much light and how far away should i keep it from the plants
im changing over to the 1000whps cause its all i got

I have found my autos burn if light is to low 600watt hps I keep at least 20” away with 1000 watt I would keep a weather eye and move quickly if problems begin to show.

Green75 And this is the reason that I have tried to mimic/mirror your process. Bc you can’t get 4-8 oz off of an auto when it’s growing naturally. You said one time, “I did that!” “ not because she wanted to.” I like that control!
