Real seaweed v. tea

I have the option of heading a little north of the turdle zone and gathering beach dried and fresh seaweed/kelp. How would those compare to seaweed tea?
Thinking about adding some for the coming hot weather.

I get plenty of fresh/ brackish water grass and just compost it with everything else. Never made a tea out of straight stuff. Would think it would be high in n.

I used to collect kelp in a bucket along the beach during morning walks . I would carry it home, rinse it, dry it, grind it, and add it to my soil. Then I discovered I could buy it cheap online. Game changer.

What do you think about adding it to coco?

I can't think of a single reason kelp wouldn't work in coco. One thing I've noticed is that folks who grow in coco fight a never ending battle with PH and from what I have read, kelp helps stabilize PH along with the many nutrients it provides. There are growers who use it to provide heat tolerance for their plants as well.
