On my first grow I will be germinating my seeds in the grow medium. How far and what Wattage should I keep my lights. I have 600 Watt air cooled with a ballast.to adjust.....

Use you hand as a heat meter. A little warmth is all they need when sprouting. DON'T over water. Until they sprout and for at least a week afterward, just mist dirt where seed is planted.

Make it like a mid spring morning sun and damp between 65 and 70 should do the trick lol

For germination, a couple cfl's, as much to control temperature as light.

Go by manufactures specs.
don't want to far away or they will stretch...if specs feel cooler than adjust till just before warm on your skin...only water as big as your seedling is...
