SOIL Raised pH levels

Hey guys. I balance my water a few days ahead of time and I've noticed my pH keeps raising even when I administer pH down. I'll check it right afterwards and it's within 6-6.5 , then when tested an hour later it raises back to 7-7.5. I repeat the process only with the same results. Does pH generally stay stable eventually?

I use sulfur to go down and dolomite to go up, a bit of both and they balance. Peat moss is good to go down as well, its PH is ~3.5

So what water are you using? I never pH my water days in advance so i cant comment on that, but it would seem to me there is something in the water that keeps bringing it up. I'm convinced that my local water has been treated cause i experienced extreme difficulty ph'ing my water even after i let it sit out. I now use a mix of tap and RO water and have had better success. You can amend the soil to help buffer the ph of the water like Rwise says but i am not experienced with that. Interested to see the replies cause im just spit-balling.

Alkalinity is water's ability to buffer itself. Once the alkalinity is gone it will stabilize.

Tersky Straight tap. I can't measure ppm or anything, but it gradually shifts upwards even with multiple pH down applications

Ph will always flux with temperature. PH Buffers can help a bit.

Have you tried using Organic juice from a lemon ?

citric acid and vinegar are very short term, yes they do provide a PH down.

Have bottles for 7 days, with my water and nute feed added with citric acid in, still the same PH .

I got it to stabilize, but only after I left it in a cool and dark place (Not just sitting out by my setup)
