Rain, rain, go away!

Does anyone have any experience with how much direct rain a flowering plant can take on its buds? 4 weeks into flower, Would you shelter her? Or let her have the intermittent showers?
This is not a issue I've ever had to deal with indoors!

The issue I had was bud rot, if you can shelter that would be good. I did harvest a plant between rains last fall, the bud finished a bit darker (redish), flavor is near the same as is aroma.
And if it starts raining inside we are all in trouble!

While the buds are small and undeveloped, do you think they can handle it without rotting?

The less developed buds will handle it better than the more mature ones that have really started getting dense and stacking up. I would try to set up some tarps or move the plants to keep the rain off if feasible. If not, then good airflow and getting the plants to dry out asap after they get drenched will help. The worst circumstances would be mature buds that cant dry out properly because they are dense and hold moisture like a sponge coupled with heat and high humidity. It’s very difficult to control the bud rot under these circumstances

Strains are different, but most can take a bit of rain, give them a lite shake after the rain passes.
