Quick Question about Lighting

Hey,

I just got a 450w LED and was wondering how far I should keep the light from the canopy to avoid light burn. I've read everything from 12 to 24inchs. Anyone any experience with LED could help me out? Its a Viparspectra 450w.

With Viparspectra -I would start 6" further away than the company recommends for any given stage.
Then move the LED a few inches closer every couple of days until you reach the range mentioned by the company or just let the plant grow into it.

So, If we are talking about a Veg range from 18"-24"- I would place the LED 30" away from the vegetating plant initially.
