Quick opinion please

Hey guys so I have more plants in veg then my space can handle I have a space available under an LED for 4 plants in flowering. I have the plants in veg in 1 gallon containers I could just transplant them to 2 gallon containers and start on 12:12 tomorrow see the thing is if I transplant to bigger pots I have no space in my veg area as is. So my real question is should I go with the two gallon square pots and start flowering right away or should I go to the 5 gallon round buckets and start flowering right away. I use fairly expensive soil and I don't want to waste a bunch if there's not going to be that much root growth. Thank you

I’d recommend transplant to the 2 gal and wait a week or two then flip

I know that but unfortunately I don't have the room to wait it's transplant and move at the same time. So would you say 2 gallon is sufficient iyo?

Issue is if you transplant then flip... the roots won’t have time to develop in thier new homes. So it will be wasting soil.
Good rule I have always gone by is 2 gallons of soil for every month it will spend in the container. (Assuming you are feeding with liquid nutrients).

Yes I am it's elevation organics soil with peak harvest organic nutrients I'm going to use slf100 , cal mag, and sugaree.

i concur with furry, if you gonna flip right away 1 gal to 5 gal is an overkill. 2 gal will be just fine

What size is the space and how are you training? Mainlining is good for limited space imho. How long have you been in veg? Got pics of your situation?

Well i did it about 2 weeKS ago switched to 12/12 same day as transplanting. I know it's not ideal I just had nono more room in veg.

I'm in the same boat, never expected to be the father of all these babies, not wanting to kill anything until I sexed them for mothers. Had to convert my Veg side to a flower side. Plus is that I get to compare the same seeds being grown under two diff lights. One 270w and one 1000...hope that is a plus to this . now the problem is out of 4 seeds only one is male.... diff issue.
