I use Sunshine mix #4 which is a peat moss growing media, my question is do I treat It like Coco Coir or do I treat it like soil for fert/nutrient needs?

A peatmoss mix isn't going to be anything like coco. (Peat is quite acidic. Are you sure you want to use that?)
