Questions about vaping

So my wife with her ultra sensitive nose hates the smell of marijuana and especially the smoke smell. I've read that vaping has much less of an odor and I'm wondering how true that is?

If that's true then I'd like to start vaping but I need to figure out the best way to turn my bud into vape juice as well as what vape pen should I start with etc. I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.

You may want to consider "dry weed" vape- as you set the temp which releases THC and there is no combustion.
You smell weed slightly , if you are close, but it doesn't lingert at all.
I use a Davinci Ascent at home and a Pulsar APX "herb" vape, on the go.

No additional weed prep!

I checked Amazon and apparently can only find skins for those. Do you order those online somewhere or do you have a local shop that sells them?

I'm not saying it's the best place to buy, but Planet of the vapes .com has a shitload of choices. You can always smoke in your grow room and let your carbon filter take care of it, or buy her nose plugs, you know, the kind with a rubber band to hold about your neck.

I've been smoking for a very long time and my Girlfriend asked about getting one because she hates the taste, smell and cough after smoking the best way she found was out of a bong, so Saturday night was date night and she said she would split the cost, so we bought a Jump pen for $47 with tax, plugged it in while we were having dinner in the car, got home and put some Wedding Cookie in and took my first puff and handed to her she loved it. The only issue was I was taking the dog on a walk and somewhere along the way the black tip fell off in snow and is gone. I haven't contacted them yet to see if I can get a replacement, but it works fine without it. And apparently if you save the leftovers you can make edibles out of the spent stuff.

Also almost no smell I was smoking in the living room last night and my daughter came in and could not tell.

The high is even better and seems to last longer. I normal take 3-5 hits off my one hitter when I smoke. 2 puffs is more than sufficient for me. The other advantage is I am not smoking cig's as much because I don't smoke in the house, now I am not going to the Garage as much.

Enjoy, and I look forward to hearing how it goes, but to try it out for $40 bucks get a dry one to try.

I'll check out that site and see how the prices are. I do my grows outdoors so no indoor grow room. I have been thinking about putting in a vent because of the airbrushing I do so if I build it right that might work for me.

Do you mean the Atmos Jump? https://www.vapornation.com/atmos-jump-vaporizer.html

I'm also looking at the Pulsar APX unit which looks to be the same price for the next 12 hours anyway. https://www.vapornation.com/pulsar-apx-vaporizer.html

So I was looking at the Pulsar APX which I can get for around $55-$60. but then I'll need to order it and won't have it for about a week. Where as I can go down to a local vape shop and pick up an Atmos Jump for $60 and be done. From what I'm reading the units are pretty similar with the exception of battery life so I'm leaning towards just picking up an Atmos Jump locally and trying it out. Then if vaping works as well as I hope I can look into getting a nicer DaVinci unit later on.

I have got a pen for vaping concentrate and it's a pain in the ass to have to wash, smash, or blast your bud, very expensive to do it right and very time-consuming. Not saying that smoking concentrate isn't rad.

I have one of the JUMP pens and it smokes well, gives a good taste, but like mentioned above that black plastic piece is prone to breaking and mine starting to fall apart.

I just made my first VG/PG cannabis vape juice, got a Vision Spinner with the very Universal 510 plexiglass cartridges. This does not taste or smell like cannabis ,but the down side is a strange flavor and once again time consuming to produce.

After all of these Ventures I have tried, I still Hit my bong for the business. Good luck.

So since several people are weighing in, I like the Jump because it does not smell much, but it does not last long, I want one that I can pack and take with me all day and not have to repack it. Do some of them hold more? Im finishing my first grow and soon will have an unlimited supply.

I tried a vape pen for dry herb, and though I did not like this one I will try another;
It did not hold enuf herb, maybe 4 hits, not easily reloaded running 70 mph on the Harley
The battery did not last long enuf
It was hard to hit, so I pull out some tiny drill bits and mod it, better but still
It would clog up after about 4-6 loads
I was spending more time cleaning than using it. The bong is still my fav!
I am reading here, thanx for all input, and if these things have been overcome I want to try one.

So I picked up the Atmos Jump from my local vape shop last night. So far my biggest issue is the taste, its pretty bad compared to using my pipe. I'm gonna try packing it a little lighter and see if that helps. But not sure how else to really improve the taste. Maybe I just need to get used to it? It is my first time vaping after all.

I also didn't get as good of a high as I do with my pipe, but my pip holds probably twice what this pen does and I think I'm able to pull more with the pipe then I can with the Jump.

As far as the smell goes, it does seems to pass the bloodhound test so that's an improvement at least. But I think I'll be looking to upgrade to a better dry-herb vaporizer in short order. Probably the DaVinci Ascent once I can scrounge up the $200 for one.

Unfortunately it does not have a way of changing the temperature. My understanding is that the temperature is set to around 400°F
