Should I turn off the water pump when the roots reach under the water?

Howdy Konepure, I does not harm the plants if You leave it running during the entire grow. I do turn my water pump off after the roots become well established into the reservoir just because; A, it saves wear and tare on the pump, B, the pump does (slightly) raise the water temperature as it is circulating the water around and when the pump get 'stalled out' from the roots getting into the pump (I have, in the past, found roots growing into the irrigation lines) it generates even more heat as the motor continues to spins. I have been turning off the water pump at or just before the switch to 12/12 lighting.
