SOIL Question on when to bury stem on a stretched plant

Hello I’m a relatively new member but have already received a lot of good advice from this great community hoping you guys can help me out again this is my first time growing and I made the mistake of having the light too far away when sprouting, my plant had significant stretching I’m honestly surprised it has been so stable throughout I even accidentally bent it alittle when watering another plant and it bent right back honestly I’m not to worried my plants doing good but I’m limited with space so I plan on burying as much of the stem when transplanting to a one gallon pot as possible >>> my question is (is there a point where it’s too late to bury the stem and if so how long do I have judging by my pick)

You can, but there is always a risk that it molds before it roots, doesnt always happens but neither never happens

Were it mine, I would transfer to larger container sooner than later, bringing medium to within 2 inches of bottom node. Plus lower light or provide more light. But alas, it is not mine.

You'll be fine, this happens to me as well with some seeds. You will be fine to bury it up to the cotyledon. That is kind of the natural start point for the plant anyhow.

ASAP get er done all the way to the baby leaves, dont cover any leaf/foliage. If you want it deeper do that later, remove any foliage before covering. I often cover up to 6 limbs, if done soon enuf they can, but dont have to (strain dependent), grow roots on the limbs and boom! Rooting gels/powders could be used as well.
