Question for LED Growers!

What light timer have you found that works the best? I've been looking online everywhere for a good one and when I find one, I'm not even sure if it's compatible with an LED light, seeing as how they have on/off switches vs other lights that turn on or off when there's a current going through the light, with no "on off switch"

Leave the switch on the light turned on and then plug it into the timer plugged into the socket no issue I think this is what you're talking about I may be wrong

I have purchased several inexpensive ones with great results- this is the last one I bought:

If you are in the "light leaks" causes all sorts of problems mindset- then you have to be mindful of the indicator light- some have none- some have red- and some are green!
Some are just a dot while other's illuminate the entire dial.

I've never had a problem and run 4 different ones - all LED grow lights by Marshydro and generic UFO's.

I hope this is helpful

All you need is a timer that turns Xmas lights on and off outside. Worked great for me outside as well as inside. $20 canadian

Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you're worried about the led not turning on and off properly via the switch and damaging the unit. I have a similar set up hooked up to cheap timers and the lights are doing totally fine 5 months into it. Kinda went with the idea that the manufacturer knows how the lights are used so they should be built accordingly.

Yep, just need a basic wall outlet timer. Something like the link above works great-Wallyworld sells something very similar.
