COCO COIR question Defoliation

This is my first grow and I have a question about defoliation.
These autos are 4 weeks old, the larger is a lemon and the other is a northern lights.
Should I be trimming these smaller leaves underneath? They really aren't getting any electric sunshine and the energy could be used elsewhere in the plant I'm sure. Thanks for your consideration!

No - don't cut anything yet - wait until they get a bit bigger - then you trim the larger ones on top to expose bud sites underneath.
