Purple Bubba & the Old Riders of the Purple Sage

I thought you would've needed yoyos for those couple of fatties in back. Beautiful buds. Will some billionaire ever invent smell-o-vision?

Closing Thoughts: 9 May 2022

Well folks, this grow and this journal is rapidly coming to close for me. TOKABIGONE has a few weeks to go yet. When we're both all done we will be getting together for an oil making session as we enjoy our wares.

First and foremost, Thank YOU for following along for the ride. It has been a bit bumpy at times but we are on the downhill stretch for sure. As of yesterday all days are above and beyond the projected 122 days for the grow. Which means for me, that translates into 128 days total. I'll keep posting at least one pic a day until harvest and then it will be a few weeks before I report back with a total weight and close out the journal from my end.

Don't forget that the updated BU2B's PPP Method will be available HERE on the 15th.

Before I finish up and finish out with grow journals on GWE there are a few things I'd be remiss not to mention:
  • There's always enough blame to go around so be careful of pointing fingers
  • Good people are easy to find, just follow the smoke
  • Do all you can, give all you can, it's usually more than what you think you have
  • Not everyone is doing their best, but they are doing the best they know how to
  • Avoid selfishness and selfish people, you'll never be able to take or give enough and you’ll wear yourself out trying (like hungry ghosts)
  • There's a fine line between help and enabling
  • Politics and Religion are generally only different methods of achieving the same goal
  • Imagine all the people, sharing all the world
  • This side and that one
    I go in between
    Let go of dead weight
    Roam and be free
    Grow old and stay young
    That's how we live
    Some they are taking
    But we've come to give
    All in due time
Thanks for the company on the ride my friends... be good to each other

Looking fine as usual, any guess on what the final weight will be? Maybe we should start a pool on it (more specific that 1 lb) .

I’m open for a pool. I don’t really have a prize for the winner, but by all means please post your prognostications. Ideally it would be 1.5 lbs as it’s 1.5 plants. My personal projection is still the one I gave in post #122 - 728 grams dried and cured combined weight for flowers and sugarleaf. Leaves will be trimmed and ONLY frosty bits saved for oil.
My estimated harvest weight of dried and cured flower for this grow
  • 32 flowering branches (Hazel)
  • 24 flowering branches (Suzie 2)
  • Every two flowering branches with 6+ inches of total bud packets will weigh about 26 grams dried and cured
  • 56 flowering branches divided by 2 = 28
  • 28 x 26 = 728 grams dried and cured
  • 728 divided by 28 (grams per oz) = 26 ounces or 1.625 lbs total
This estimate is if everything goes perfectly up until harvest. I don’t know if I’ll make it but I’m aiming HIGH

Here's is something to help you make your guestimate should you choose to:

This is one branch on Hazel. Full length of my palm from pinky to thumb 21.59cm (8.5")
There are 32 branches total for Hazel each totaling at least 21.59cm of bud packets per branch
Suzie 2 only has 24 flowering branches but those are up to 50cm long; with again, at least 21.59cm of bud packets per branch.
For Suzie 2 the buds are much smaller but are also much denser than those on Hazel and her leaves are coated at least 50% of their length with a good frosting of snow and VERY sticky.
Your 5 days to guestimate on total harvest weight starts ...

Grow timeline final report: 13/14 May 2022
The lights will be going out in a few hours and with that I'll post my final photo's of the grow until after harvest. It's supposed to be in the 90's f here tomorrow so the tent is going to be staying open for their final day. I don't think they're gonna pop any seeds in 24 hours, the grow room is dark-ish and I'll get a chance to look them over and take photographs documenting their last day. Harvest will be on Sunday. Depending on how I'm feeling afterwards and how sticky my fingers are, it may be Tuesday or later before I post any final photo's and harvest pics. Final Grow images with Light On/Light Off (flash) are coming up in just a few hours. Until then here is the final grow timeline report from my end - PLEASE stay tuned TOKABIGONE 'S grow is yet to finish up and final grow weight and documentation yet to come!
The Big Picture
Grow Started 2 January 2022
Grow Ended 14 May 2022
Total days of 'Growing' 132 (spreadsheet corrected to reflect actual days - I lost 4 days some where?)

As the clock is ticking and new leaves are growing as I type I suppose I should post a few photo's of the girls in their relative nakedness with nodes exposed.

ossman Yes please do! We would love to see them. Show your grow is an excellent forum and it would give the most people the biggest chance of seeing your beauties. Happy farming and thanks for making your first post here.

Harvest Day!: 15 May 2022

A friend and I started trimming at 9 am this morning and finished up at around 5:30 - 17 man hours later. I’m just tossing a few pics out since I just got my hands cleaned up. I may do some re-arranging before I’m done - but here are the results of your 4.5 months of patience.

I think my estimate is going to be close 🤞
That's two full 4 foot long bundles of buds or a total of 2.44 meters of trimmed bud bunches for those not hopelessly american.

Very nice work my brother! I did not trim to achieve PPP this time as I wanted to let my one plant do it's own thing tho I did FIM it. Going forward I will be giving more attention to my training as the results are obvious in BU2B's grows. Can I produce an equal quantity in living soil? I think so! Harvest this time will be around the second week of June if the heat doesn't force me to go earlier! BU2B has 17 man hours invested in his harvest. I'm sure mine will take me at least an hour!

Yes those are tomatoes and I will kick them outside in a couple weeks, lmao!
