On a lighter note or maybe not so light as it also deals with death. My lone survivor is starting to look more healthy so I spread her out a bit and staked her down.

And then there's this.... I let the dead girls dry out in the pots so I could pull them up easily .... What Roots? All this time I thought they gave up due to being over watered but NO! And they showed no symptoms of dry like wilting or drooping! Even after 10 days one time when I decided to see how far they could go but I chickened out and watered them. NO change before or after ... weird!

What you're doing with the living soil is MUCH more than what I used to do. Back when I grew outside in dirt I used the Niel Young method of growing; toss the seeds out, give them one good water and wait for the sun and magic. No skill or work involved... and it showed. Which translate to - I don't know beans about beans in living soil.

Hi TOKA - do you find the fully-watered 7 gal bags to be rather heavy? I almost bought some last night on a rainforest lightning deal but I was hesitant. Your girl is looking good!

It's amazing what the average citizen, NGO groups, retired military, healthcare workers, etc, etc have done to help. It's hard to watch the destruction of such a beautiful country.

I'm trying to afford an MRI for my pug's back but I've been throwing PayPal $ at people who've had healthcare issues, couldn't work, need food or gas but are too humble to ask for help or start a GFM. I've sent food via amazon. I don't have much $ but I'd open my home to people resettling. I never thought I'd witness such a horrendous thing in my lifetime.

Hi Pugs I would say they are not unmanageably heavy tho I'm a 74 yo man with not much strength left. I will say now that they will fool you if you don't manage your water carefully. I made some fatal rookie errors early on when I tried to manage them as if they were 5 gal. I did not use the lift the pot method due to the weight thinking I had it all figured out. Nevermore!

Flowering Week 2 Day 1: 25 March 2022

Not a lot to report - but I will post a few updated photo's. The girls are looking good and are just starting to get dressed up for the show; I figure by next week they should have their bunny tails on. I have been cleaning up the undergrowth and removing growth tips that were never going to make it to the top of the canopy. The biggest of the three is Hazel standing at about 44cm (just over 17 inches) tall. Little Suzie is - well, Little Suzie; the force is small with this one. I'll step out of the spotlight and hand the floor over to my three girls...

NickyChicks I use the General Hydroponics Flora Trio as they have a hard water option for their micro mix. Don’t think I have mentioned nutrients in this journal. Sorry about that.

Start of the Week! No pics, no 'direct' news on the grow, but instead I would like to take a moment to ... okay, moments over. LOL
No Really, my sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to GWE member GuitboxTom . His comments and supplied links have changed my thinking with regard to the last 48-72 hours prior to harvest. I am going to repost the link he posted with a VERY good interview by Dr. Bugbee from USU that covers several topics related to cannabis horticulture. Living only a few miles away from the Utah border it had always been my understanding that cannabis is a BIG NO NO in Utah... looks like maybe not so much as USU is less than 3 hours away. I do know the consequences of cannabis possession for joe public without a PhD is not quite as rosey as the video may lead you to believe. That aside, GuitboxTom THANK YOU for the pharming phacts! Once again proof that the GWE community is second to none!
