HELP! Problem with flowering

Hey,so I have a bit of a problem with my tree.My tree is already 7 months old and it has not began to flower.So I want to know what causes this to happen and how can I make it to flower.I know I should give it time but yet still... it's already 7 months old.

you can read this up on the basics section of the main site but basically the plant needs 12 hours of darkness every day to initiate flowering and needs to stay that way until harvest

So I made a rookie mistake.The tree I grew for the past several months was a male tree and male trees does not grow buds,but thanks for the info anyway
