Pre filter for tent vent

I honestly tried to think of a different title that didn't rhyme, but I'm high... so that lasted about 3 seconds.

Anyway, does anyone use a pre filter on the vent screens when the vents are open?

I have a dog and 2 cats so pet dander is a problem. My first carbon filter came with a white pre filter and I didn't realize until too late that it allows a bit of the dander to get through and running 24/7 it clogged up in about 2 months. I noticed because my temps had slowly been increasing and I couldn't figure out why.

The new filter came with a black pre filter and it took about a week to begin to see build up on the pre filter. I can vacuum it off but PIA.
I don't know how everyone else deals with it but perhaps someone has an answer to the dander.
. Thanks!

PS: How do you get changes in your signature block to save and show up? It will let me edit and save info but it doesn't show up on the forum.

My tents have the round vent holes with the drawstrings I use a 6 inch in my 4x4 and 4" in the two 2x4s flex ducting (dryer hose) about a 4 foot piece two for each tent. These help keep the light out during lights off especially for flower. I had to put a intake fan on the 4x4 and will probably have to put a second one on the other side to reduce the negative pressure because my tent looks like it is going to implode when I have the exhaust fan on high. Anyways finally to the filters I was first using some pantyhose over the ends of the flex ducting but later changed to these pics below the last pic is what I use I bought one and the ol lady is making me some for the rest I like it because of the strings pull tight into the grooves of the flex pipe.
