Ppm wtf

I have been flushing my plants because I over feed them got the ph right on the runoff on 9 plants then had to go get more flora clean and cal mag ,so I took this pen I purchased (thought it could test for chlorine) along with me and asked if it was a ppm meter, it is so then I came home and tasted the plant that I was flushing at the time the ph was spot on but the ppm was though the roof ,so I kept flushing till I got it down to about 300 .

I have a sink in the cellar that I get water from, apparently they don,t use chlorine in the winter cause I keep testing it and there is never any chlorine so I mix both hot and cold so I flush with warn water, the ppm from the tap is 244

I dont usually get water from sink I usually filter it to remove chlorine and sediments ,filter was dirty so I stopped at Lowes to get a replacement for it , while their I picked up a new filter housing and filters to make a inline filter to use while getting water from sink its just a sediment filter but it goes down to 5 microns so maybe it will lower my ppm

Now that I realized the ppms are very high I have to reflush all the girls lol

Hahahahaha! This little hobby is as easy as juggling 12 balls; as learning Greek; as cooking like a top chef. Sheeeeeeeiiiiiiiiittttttt.....

I got all but one flushed yesterday , the inline filter did not lower my dissolved solids so my water starts at 240 ppm , now I need to keep the ppm under 1000 does this include the 240 from the water

One of my best grows was my first grow using cfl's and a pc fan, 6 oz from one plant. That started me down the rabbit hole that I could do better!!! 😂
