Pollen Sac?

orionn1

Hello, I am a newbie and this is my second plant. I noticed these little balls at the base of the leaves near the trunk. Are these pollen sac / bananas? I don’t have any other plants so I am not worried about pollination. Can I turn this into a seed producing plant? Or will its seed do the same thing.
I also I had had my plant under uv led 24/7 until this week I didn’t know not to put it on a cycle. Would that have stressed the plant?

Yes those are pollen sacs, some people call them 'nanas' because they resemble a bunch of bananas. Unfortunately males only produce pollen, and females that are pollinated produce seeds.

Yup male. There actually is some thc in males but not nearly as much as in females that have not been pollinated.

That is a female plant. She is hermaphroditing and yes, those are pollen sacks/ ball sacks. looks like a stress reaction to me, so it could be from 24hrs of light or too much heat, however certain strains are more prone than others.

Water neutralizes pollen. I will turn all ventilation off and dip my fingers in water and pinch off those sacks and put them in the water. Thats my method to get rid of those. Tedious and frustrating but it only seems to effect the lower shaded parts of the plant, all your main colas in the light will be fine and still make dank nugs as long as you don't blow that pollen around too much. Definitely can cause seeds!!!

If you can, stop blowing air and then pick off them by hand. The worst that happens is you get 5 seeds an ounce. It's still worth growing this plant and you can leave her with the other girls if you have to.

Oh and going to 12/12 is the only way to have your lights to get the plant to start making buds
