Please HELP!!!

1st time grower

I've been growing in a closet have light and air circulation. My plant was looking beautiful. My stupid ass bf who has never touched it decided to water without telling me so I watered it again. The leaves started to curl and in 10 days my entire plant has become hard lost color and is very brittle. The soil is still moist and I'm not sure what to do please say I can save this or is it completely lost???
 
You have to dry it out fast take some ink pens and shove them into your medium as far as possible pull them out leaving holes do it all over the place over and over and over again see if you can situate a fan close to blowing on it
 
How old is plant? Green's idea is good..

If it is ready to be transplanted to bigger pot, fill with new soil, keeping it loose and lots of perlite, and just carefully place the soggy roots into new medium. I wouldn't think a mature plant would react that drastically to being overwatered.

Lift test! Get used to the weight of the pots. Lift them every time you see them.

Greenie has has a good idea... last ditch effort probably...

Thank you all so much for your input. I just transplanted it to a bigger pot with new soil. Hoping this will work. I can't seem to upload the pictures
