Plants look different

Question: Is it normal for two plants of the same strain being grown next to each other to have different looking buds? One plant has buds that are clearly denser and less airy than the other. Also the buds are growing differently, one has cone shaped buds the other are more round at the top. They both smell the same but I am not sure if they are the same…..
