Plant age dilemma

I have plants of different age so if I have an older one And it’s flowering time can I simply remove it from the tent instead of changing the lights
 
That could work but only if you remove it after 12 hours of light and move it into complete darkness for 12 hours. No light whatsoever. And you have to do this at the same time everyday for 4-10 weeks until harvest.
 
I think I would move the veg plant if I moved one, I would be more likely to just flip to 12/12s and run.
