Pinching lat tips

Just wondering i know about topping and fiming and that but i grow outdoors and time is huge factor it already takes 5 to 6month to harvest my outdoor i dont like hst and stressing to much i have topped my plants i always do a few and they take alot of time to recover and fimming is better when done right sometimes i fail to fim correctly and just slow down plants growth and no extra heads so if any can show me a link to fim tutorial correctly cause ive watched a few and some arent actually fimming correctly as ive noticed but my big question was does toping/pinching laterals/side branches stress plant and slow it down process as much as topping main stalk

So reasons for asking as i have a nice healthy sexed female plant that is 2mths 1week old not flowering yet and i was thinking about pinching tops of lateral branches but have study and done main stalk topping and it took time to really jumpstart again pls any answers and or feedback be much appreciated
