I have a couple of crosses that I would like to grow and pick the best of the best and make a mother out of her. The seeds are all regs M/F of course. Do you think I can drop 10 seeds in 10 solo cups and grow them to maturity and know any thing about them or enough about them to decide on a mother

You could but a 1-2qt pot might be better for a serious research project. Sometimes plants get stunted, hermied or just unhappy in a solo, so there is a higher loss potential, but fine bud can be had from a small grow.

Keep them in a Dixie cup until they get the first serated leaf, then transplant them to their permanent pot.

Actually I was going to use this method again , I tthink the square cups are better for mini mothers
