I ran out of ph down and my tap water is a high 7. What can I do besides milk or something like that...help. New bottle comes Monday. Nothing at the stores. And I'm about to water my plants. They can't wait till Monday. Has to be tonight. My tap water is I High six it's a high seven. Town been doing work on the underground plumbimg help me

I have used lemon juice... it drops ph well but does not hold out long...a.few hours and it climbs back to so, mix, use and done

I use sulfur to control the PH, sulfur mixes with water and slowly produces sulfuric acid.
Vinegar, lemon juice and the likes only last minutes to a couple of hours, IMHO waist of time and money.
As said I would just water (lite) with the tap water, get them to monday.

Yea I threw in some lemon juice. Abit more than required since I doesn't last. And mixed in just then jug in plant. If it doesn't come in time. I'd have to water anyways the roots were sucking the dirt infront the edges of the pots and their' weightless so it have to be done. Gallon per plant and hold off till not comes in, it says expect delivery.... oncWednesday and that usually means Friday or the following Monday. Gotta love it they're happy now. I went to town hall they said they broke a pipe underground and had to put some extra bullshit chemicals in the water. You would think they would tell you he were tweaking your water for a couple weeks... this m morning plants are happy as can be. Tata for now:smooch:

As another poster mentioned, one or two waterings without properly PH'd water won't do any damage to the plants. All it does is inhibit the plants ability to absorb nutrients via water/soil. remember the plants biggest "food source" is plenty of full spectrum light...

Here's my babies all Happy from their lemon juice feeding I put 1/4 cup lemon juice to a gallon and everyone get the same mix all 8 plants got a gallon wit the 1 /4 lemon juice. They're happier already. I wasn't pHing for months the waster was good from the tap. Then it started fucking with my plants and now I know that I broke out the pH meter...

From my own 8.2, I really only used about a 3 teaspoons of a fresh lemon to 3 gallons of water to drop in ph to 7. What did you wind up with at 1/4 cup?

Math is bad what's the worst that could happen I don't measure, just squirt it in the jug.
Been years since I've started playing with lemon juice among other things...
I can say that a cup of lemon juice in a gallon of water is max before I see complications.
Ended up there with experience I guess,
I've thrown all kinds of shit in there see what this or that does, within reason ofcourse...here they are 36 hours after their glasses of lemonade, the pipes right back up and said thanks for the drank.....I'll be posting more on my. Not a grow journal but log kind of thing. It needs some updates. Thanks for all input every one.

Yes vinegar. I been pretty happy with it use it all the time. And it will lower ph. I don't know which kind may be better. I just use plain white vinegar

For those of you that I have scared here they are 3 or 4 days later still smiling and shooting for the sun

As ppl say... viniger or lemon juice but its not the best buffer as you have to adjust it all the time... my advice for your future, use Canna ph+, its the best buffer solution out there. Ive tryed GHE and others... choose canna

Been doing that for the last week and for stupid stuff like high pressure fitting and adapters ….little things that prevent you from finishing a project. And by me, the deliveries come after 5pm and it has been to dark out to get things done, at least with this thing I am working on

Before I moved here I had perfect water in all senses and now where I'm at it's closer to 8 than 7. Before I moved I had no need for a pH meter so it got lost in the unorganized life I live. Now that I saw problems I got a new one and found the problem. Just waiting on some orders. If course ph up would come in before pH down. Such is life. But got er under control for the moment. Next month I'll throw a few hundred dollars at Amazon like usual. I have all I need but like new things. Always trying something new...
