Pelonis AC blowing ice cold air when on dehumidifier setting

I have the pelonis portable AC one exhaust has three settings AC, fan and dehumidifier. When I turn on the dehumidifier setting it does not let me adjust the air temperature but blows straight cold air the dehumidifier does work but it gets so cold that I have to turn it off what am I doing wrong or is this how it works?

It may be how it works. Generally speaking, dehumidifiers cool the air dropping the dew point so that moisture in hot humid air turns into solid water and fills the bucket. Portable AC can usually dehumidify at the same time but i am not sure if they can dehumidify without cooling. That would be a question for the customer support probably.

That's what I was thinking It gets so cold in a 12x12 room the concrete floor that my root zones were very low '60s some even cooler and it does keep it pretty close to all right with just the AC unit I just wish there was a way to set a limit on how low it goes or even a certain humidity point. I think I'm going to call them tomorrow maybe I'll post their comment on here that way if anyone else has an issue thanks.

I don't have a clue so this might be a stupid idea but I'm a brainstormer and sometimes saying what you're thinking causes someone to find an answer...... put it on ac mode turn up the temperature so that it turns off then switch it back to dehumidifier mode

I tried that also and thought it was working but that is when I went back down stairs and it was 68 and dropping lol. I think I may have figured it out I have a lux thermometer timer which allows me to put it at the center of my canopy plug the ac in put it on dehumidify and set the lux thermometer for 75 and it has the option for cool or heat set it on cool set my temperature for 75 and when it hits 75 that thermometer will turn the power off to my AC thankfully once it turns back on and getd above that temperature it kicks the power back on and the AC / dehumidifier kicks back on and runs until it drops back to that.temperature. I wasn't for sure if it would work because it is a digital AC and sometimes they won't kick back on unless you hit the power button but seems to work fine as long as it is on fan or dehumidifier setting.
