I've never grown a plant outside before but I was thinking about doing it now.
I'm not planning on anything fancy but here is my plan so far...I have tomato and grn pepper planted in an area that used to be a garden . Behind them but still in direct sunlight, is the rest of the old overgrown garden. I was thinking of digging a hole, and then maybe throw a bag of stonington blend in the hole and then plant . I have two healthy youn g Blue Dream plants about 12" tall inside right now.

Would my plan work? I know I would have to watch the outdoor plant. Thanks

Myself I like raised beds, if its a wet year the roots are above the water line, if its a dry year I can water. I plant in the ground, no transplanting. You will need to harden the plants to outdoor living then transplant. The autos (short girls) sprouted 4/4, the taller girls sprouted 3/10. I covered for a frost or 3

That's an awesome pic! I certainly hope that someday I'm able to grow outside! Seems like a partly different world than indoor growing with more to learn, new techniques, etc!

Thanx, all the work is in the soil, get that right and they grow like weeds! Now if I can just keep the grasshoppers away.

Looking good. My outdoor grows I sat them up off the ground, too many hungry animals to contend with. Can't beat properly cooked soil...👍

Yep true that about it can take 4months of good weather 75f + protect from rain in flower, spray for bugs with tobacco juice an water mix if you can keeps most bugs off but you need to repeat over an over. It's a process i don't mind cause i don't leave for long periods till after harvest then it's vacation time. Don't tell anyone about them . I'm legal here but had a cop stop by cause i was burning some tree limbs in a firepit. I'm in town now not really use to having neighbors complain about smell of leafs they thought it was trash??? Cop was very cool about it all. I held my breath though cause i have a couple more than i should. I'm not gonna loose sleep over them, bust a old gal for 2 over limit hmmm

I was just entertaining the idea because my budget has tightened up the last few months and even with LED lighting its starting to hurt :-(

Sorry to here your neighbors or some of them are really petty...and have some sort of issue with the new guy....Sounds like a small town with small town bias...I know we moved from the city to a small town and have experienced some bias as well. Hope they warm up to you guys...
