I am fortunate to have a very large plant that I have regenerated. She is inside, in front of a south facing slider window because she is too large for my grow cabinet. I plan to keep her there throughout the summer and into the fall. (She gets only natural light.) When the days grow shorter, I assume she will begin to flower on her own, but we don't live on a 12/12 schedule so she will be exposed to lights in the house In the evening.
I don't want to put her outside now for security. I could harden her off in the fall and put her out each night, but I will have to think about deer and mice. Also, she may still get some light reflecting from inside.
Also, when should I expect her to start flowering? We are in the Northeast, USA. We often have our first frost in early October, so putting her out after that won't work.
Any ideas?
