I have both an indoor and and outdoor harvest coming in a few weeks. I planted the indoor girls weeks after the outdoor ones and it seems like the indoor ones will be ready to harvest at the same time. They both look about a month out to me based on harvest pics on growweedeasy.com. It seems cleaner to grow indoors because there's no caterpillars or deer. A deer was rubbing on the plant and got deer fur all over it, though luckily it didn't nibble that I saw. But outdoors the plants are growing way bigger buds with no electricity.
This will be my first harvest and I've somehow set myself up with two harvests at once. I want to have a good harvest plan ahead of time.
Outdoor growers, where do you dry your weed? For indoor plants, it seems like growers take out the grow light and dry them in the grow space. But for outdoor plants with enormous branches, where is the best place to dry them? Maybe hang the branches from the shower rod in the bathroom with the bathroom venting fan going 24/7? Or should I point a fan at the wall in the bathroom?
Any tips for keeping outdoor plants healthy and stopping bugs the last month? I sprayed mine with BT caterpillar spray yesterday because I heard it's natural and should keep the worms off the last few weeks, hopefully. Should I spray with Spinosad or neem oil too, to kill any other bugs?
I'm also worried about bud rot on the biggest cola, pictured. The weather has been hot and extremely humid but the outdoor plant seems like it doesn't mind yet. Is there anything I can do to harden the big buds against bud rot outdoors? If I had to harvest it early, would the buds still be good to smoke?
Please share any and all outdoor cannabis harvest tips you know of. I’m a Padawan in search of wisdom.
