Outdoor grow

These are both supposed to be Northern lights but have different color flowers and stalks. they were both planted at the same time and treated exactly the same. Are they both Northern Lights?

These pictures were taken 10/20, some flowers look ready and some don't look ready for harvest to me, how 'bout you? Small amount of rain coming early tomorrow too. Any advice is much appreciated.

My 1st grow.

If you got your beans from a reputable bank, then they probably are the same strain. There is what I think a high percentage of genetic differences in a single strain with every seed bank drop, even in high-quality beans so expect such things like that and runt plants. The trichome thing looks like a mixed bag like you were thinking in my opinion, Nice looking plants, keep up the good work!

You might be seeing different phenotypes from your Northern Lights. Sometimes a plant's genetics will produce the characteristics of one or more of the plants that were crossed.

I cannot make a good call on the trichomes, but I'd wait some more.

What effects are you going for? Clear trichomes = racy nervous high, Cloudy = max potency, Amber means THC is breaking down, more amber more couchlock, or a more body type high.

I'm guessing you have a way to inspect and magnify the trichomes. If you haven't already, take a look at the bottom RH side of this page. Click on When to Harvest.

BTW, welcome aboard.

Hi, Darell
Good grow, nice frosty buds!
I agree with the others. You likely have NL with different genetics. It happens more than you might realize.
The way to avoid is clones from a favorite strain mother plant.
But, you'll have ounces of enjoyable smoke in snother month or so.

Thanks for that, better pictures of ripe flowers in that link than I've seen elsewhere on the internet.
