Hey guys, at the beginning of the year my gf just took a seed that was in one of my bags and planted it in our balcony. I didn't think it would grow but it has and it looks/smells beautiful. Only problem is I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide when to harvest. Keep in mind its in an apartment balcony and has partial sun(about 4-6 hours a day) and natural soil so it has taken much longer to grow than the usual timeline. It is also leaning towards the side because it looks for the sun and I have to rotate it every once in a while so it doesn't lean too far one way. That said, a few of the signs that its ready are there(yellowing leaves going brown at the tips, some red hairs starting to bend inwards etc) but at the same time a few of the people Ive asked have told me anything from a few days to a few more weeks. One thing I'm a little worried about is that in one side of the top buds there are some yellowish pointy ends that seem to be becoming a bit more common and I've read about the "banana" that grows as a last ditch effort to make seeds but I'm not sure if this is what I'm looking at or if its just new leaves growing. I also may have gone a bit overboard last week when I trimmed the big leaves off but tbf the buds did seem to grow faster. Included a few pictures of the yellow spots, the plant from a bit farther away and some close ups on the iPhone so you can kind of see the trichomes. Figure anybody who's done this for a while can probably tell just by looking at them. I also accidentally cut one of the 2 smaller trees that were growing beside it, cured the bud from it for 3-4 days and just smoked it and it tasted/felt amazing. But it was so young I'm confused by how great it smokes and taste. Will the bigger tree be harsher? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
