outdoor auto chem dawg

This plant is about 83 days old. It is a stunted auto. I believe it is about ready. I think this bud looks a little odd. Any comments?

Howdy desertdan, The calyces look plump and very nice. I could not tell the condition of the trichomes, but gaging by the pistils showing, I think that She needs a little more time before harvest. I can not be certain about this as I have no experience with autos at all. Can You get closer photos of the trichomes to see their condition?
Good luck with Your grow.

I will try. This plant has been in 102- 104 temps last 3 days. Some of the trichs are amber but there are some white hairs but I think it might be starting to fox tail. I have no experience with autos so not sure.

desertdan, Can (or have) You 'sampled' a small bud, to see how it's developing? The high temps can cause stress and fox tailing. A friend of Mine had heat problems in His garden (Brussels sprouts, not cannabis) and 'fixed' it by making a tent out of cheese cloth over the plants with a small mister hose along the ridge. The cheese cloth cut down on the direct amount of sun light and the evaporation cooled the plants. I do not know if You can set up something similar for Your plants, but it's a thought.

This is an experiment to see if I can grow auto outdoor to harvest this time of year without any extra structures or so forth. I will sample when ready I have plenty to smoke now and want couch lock.

I grew some photo chemdawg indoors in grow box, and yours looks totally different! I really like the way the calyces look, and I sure hope you get your couch lock!!
