I have a bunch of bonsai trunks I am growing in the ground - I have some trident maples, japanese zelkovas, some european tree, and others - I was outdoors over the weekend and was able to admire all of the colorful fallen leaves in my hard. All of them from small branch- little bonsai trunks - it was a beautiful thing. Back to nature - no raking!

I also nurture 3 perennials from the german black forest- not even sure what they are. Small flowering plants- that I keep finding alive- and re-potting for the next season. Beside being hearty, damn I love the outdoors

Love the flowers too, look like candy

I have a cherry blossom tree in my front yard that's sick. It's got some kind of fungus that exhibits blight type symptoms in mid summer when everything should be green and healthy. I treated it with Fungonil but it didn't seem to help all that much. I'll try it again in the spring.

Other than that, we grow various herbs, a couple of veggies and some flowers. Pretty boring stuff, Hydrangeas, Clematis, knock out roses, burning bush, shrubs, Hostas, Stella Doros, etc. Mostly landscaping crap.

I'm thinking about building a raised garden bed for my wife this spring.

My fig tree is my favorite outdoor experiment, since it is not hardy to my region,. I have spent countless hours keeping it happy and protected over the winter. And I got a fabulous crop this year...sweet and tasty! 🙌 Here's a pic of it this year...love its leaves! 🌿

Thanks Nugs! 😊 I don't always play by traditional gardening rules, but have learned much through experimentation. Always love the large fig tree leaves...they are beautiful solar collectors! 🌻 🌻 🌿🌿
