Organic grow fertilizer

I am all prepared with my soil cooking and finishing my last 2 plants from current grow. I was wondering about mulch for the organic grow. Makes sense to use it to maintain moisture, but what kind. I read some mulch can mess with you PH. Any recommendations.

I really upped my container capacities from 5 to 30 gallon containers for this upcoming season which caused me to purchase bagged soil to mix with my living soil. I ended up buying Dr. Earth Patio Mix. It's a potting mix but all organic. I began mixing it up back in November and it is looking really good so far for this years grow. I just finished filling my five 30 gallon fabric bags and was surprised at the large number of worms that were thriving in it. I PH'd it just yesterday and it was a consistent 6.6 to 6.8. I think you'll be fine with most any organic mix as long as there's no time released nutrients and you give it some time to develop.
