Worked on my girls yesterday trying to ward off the mold don't want to take a heavy hit. I did what I normally wouldn't do if the sun stayed consistaint but I did what was needed on my 6wk old flowering bushes. I defoliated very heavy even the beautiful green fans. This is a time of decisions right or wrong I made the choice not to harvest early. They are maturing some pistols are beginning to turn amber not trichs. I've moved all plants under cover even the 30gal. mama mia whose had all hellish weather thrown at her, she's now safely brought up to a screened in patio. 3 are squeezed into a greenhouse, 3 are under a canopy. I'm hopping for a finish in 3wks. Peace and goodwill happy harvest time ahead for all.
 
with all the loving care you're giving them, SoOrbudgal, I'm sure they'll turn out fine. Weather this summer is all over the place here, too (eastern Canada), there's very little consistency. I don't envy our farmers who have to depend on the weather for their livelihood!
 
I love these "Acts of Desperation". But even if they are under cover isn't just the low temperature and high humidity going to be the villain? I don't claim to understand the plant. But have had hellebore's suffer from botrytis in a greenhouse
 
A good friend outdoor grower had a difficult time last year due to the ridiculous volumes of daily rain we Had from August through October and what was a beautiful growing large harvest, turned out more than 50% ruined by botrytis mold
 
I have to look at some control method myself, now its not cold with the lows in the upper 60s(F) and the highs in the upper 90s. It has been one wet year, and whats that on the radar, another tropical front headed my way so rain from that, then to finish a cold front from the north for the weekend, more rain (and drop the highs a few degrees)
This for me is a new problem setting here in the dust bowl, I sprayed once with milk/water for WPM and it seemed to help, also added a big ass fan (time to go turn it on). But a plant I just harvested had BR on one limb. To that I shaved the legs on the BB3 (Rusty Glue is next) and picked up some costly stuff called trifecta crop control, treated all plants late yesterday. The next treatment will be only the plants that have shown WPM.

I found that out it will grow in a GH ,If you can keep the dew off of them they are less likly to rot at least that is why we do it might be wishful but its something
 
isn't that shit expensive I sprayed the other day and it seems to stopped new breakouts but I have still been finding spots on the one girl but they could be old IDK, did you see that post I did yesterday on baking soda cannala oil and dish soap from the testing it worked better than Milk
 
Not unless I use some small battery fans got 2 of those. GH in remote area without elec. Just windows open to the air, I plan on going out when sun comes up to check on them. O600 here to dark don't wanna go into the woods with a flashlight LOL. I'm going to check the colas real good.
 
Thanks Rwise, best of luck with your also. It's in the 60s here also perfect for WPM see it on my hummingbird vine leaves, half of the huge canopy. Some on my dahlias also, But my weed I need to check this a.m. when it's light. Not going to work again today, Dr. appt. so I've got time and daylight to check on them really good. It's been 48hrs since I've done damage control and seen them. Fingers crossed.
 
Thank you s62 positive vibes to all outdoor growers. LOL dragging that 30gal. pot up some steps to the screen in patio before work yesterday gave me concern LOL inch wormed it up the steps by golly no strain. Sure feeling the arthritisis creeping in with the humidity and wet cooler temps. My fingers are snapping/popping just thinking about trimming for hrs. But I love it completing a harvest. Good luck with your grow also, beautiful indoor beginnings for you.
 
Yes talked with some neighbors they've got 12ft x 5ft plants tree/bushes. They are hustling putting hoop house covers or large teepee tents. I try to keep mine more managed for us, I love to grow one monster for fun but she is so much work for me. Next season won't be such stress won't be working 10hr days anymore.
 
Thanks! I’d totally help you trim if I lived near you. For whatever crazy reason, I actually kinda like trimming

SoOrbudgal count your blessings that you have the time to grow a monster .I would love to grow a tree but you cant do it in 4 months lol GH was 96 % RH and 34 degrees this morning lit the heater and turned fans on .when I turned them off last night the RH was 47 , I really wish you luck with yours with no electric it must be hell trying to keep them healthy , i came across a side by side comparison of wpm first they used store bought stuff that did almost nothing ,then they used milk it took care of most of it then they used this recipe per Gallon 1 tbls baking soda,three tbls of canola oil and 1 tsp of dish soap (they used Ajax but didn't say you had to) . In the side by side it looked like the plant was completely clear of wpm,I have to stop at the store so I'm picking up the canola oil this morning

@ $35 for 4 OZ, yes its expensive, I read many reviews before I dropped my funds on it.
I'll have to try the soda oil and soap,,
A friend is simply washing it off with water and elbow grease,,, I myself dont think that will be effective,, we'll see

SoOrbudgal Monday is fall, we will start dropping to the low 60's and upper 50's, and it looks like a wet fall setting in,,,,

Now why couldn't one add alcohol and peroxide to that recipe for a multi purpose spray? Even some milk,,,,,
 
OJ it seems like we only had 3-4 months of real summer here where i'm at. Last year at this time I don't remember the rains starting so early nor last for days like lately. I just need to get the plants much larger next season i'm thinking before I put them outdoors in May in the GH or straight outdoors. I'd of made it OK if Mother Nature didn't start fall rains early. It's not cold in the upper 60s low 70s humidity is high.

I was outside earlier, did some intense eyeball checks on the thick colas and found bud rot in a couple small areas which was removed. I'm lookin and thinkin if I had 7 more days of sun on one mama mia the largest and beat up one I could harvest most of the plant without being to early. I got one WW that's dang close also but could use 2wks. It's gonna take some miracle on a few others lookin more like mid Oct.

I don't have any WPM at all on my leaves just tiny spots of bud rot and no bud worms I checked real good. Hope yours are not given you fits. Take Care
