Only cotyledon leaves?

A friend sent me this picture of a plant he has. It looks to me like it's only growing the cotyledon leaves. He said the strain is "purple queen". There are other plants with it that look totally normal. Has anyone seen this before? I can't imagine the plant will flower, but idk.

That's some kind of herb but I don't think it is "the herb". Either he got ripped off or had a stray seed of unknown origin in his potting mix.

It does look like purslane. But the seed came out of a breeder pack. It wasn't just a random sprout coming out of the soil

He is. And apparently he sprouted the other two seeds that were in the pack with this one to see what they look like

So I looked this up in my garden bible :) heck I've come across this stuff in the past many times never knew it was a edible. Thanks for posting...….sorry it was not a weed seed .

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm still blown away that came out of a pack of seeds, but I'll update if he continues to grow that plant, personally I would have thrown it away

Purslane seeds are very small, black, and flat. Don’t look like cannabis at all. I doubt they were packaged to sell as cannabis seeds. My guess is that the original cannabis seed that was planted failed to germinate and the soil mix had a stray purslane seed in it.
