On a lighter side

alltatup I've talked about my 24 hour cat rule. I will not be around cats for more than 24 hours lest they poop, pee, and puke on any of my property they can get disgusting on. My first cat was in Saudi Arabia. All the cats in our apartment complex were feral. I'm not sure how we got one into our place but one got in. 'Whiskers' had a loud, cow like, meow. It sat on our futon and would get violent with anyone who came near it. Maybe you didn't read how I took care of my X's cat after it had surgery. Even cat's don't need to suffer.
See, it's the cats who started this whole thing. Not me. I respond appropriately to inappropriate behavior. Cat's do not understand personal space and I'm not fond of one crawling under my crotch when I'm squatted down, looking at my neighbors forest-in-a-tent. Some people might be, I am not.
And put back that post. I'm sure I recognize one of those people.

oldjarhead100 that was funny. I use to got to an Irish bar when I lived in Denver, and on a plaque hanging on the wall it read something to the effect ...Irish diplomacy, the ability to tell someone to go to hell and make them look forward to the trip :)

Meh... I grew up in Dallas. I've had snake, rocky mountain oysters (never afuckinggain), and alligator tail. Spent a year and a half in Louisiana. If you don't suck out the heads of your crawfish, you're probably a Yankee. Vacationed in Cyprus when I was a kid. Jellied goat brains were on the buffet. What are two siblings to do but dare the other to eat some? In Saudi I ate street food cooked on an oil drum. We were there in a time of major infrastructure construction. To this day, I love the miasma of diesel, oil, smoke, and red dirt. It makes my mouth water for mutabak.
Snake tastes like snake. Rocky mountain oysters taste and feel like bull balls. Alligator is flavorless. Crawfish brains taste like the mud they grew up in. Goat brains actually taste better coming up than going down.

Me, I love a good feral cat who comes to live with folks; I have one now. I rescued her out of the engine of my car one cold morning, and that was that. She's a biter and a scratcher, she flicks her tail back and forth all the time, and she purrs very loudly. She's agressive. Busta the chihuahua hates her, but what can I do? I believe she's my mom reincarnated, so I try to be patient with her. She has gotten better as she has aged (around 5 now). Her name is NaeNae.

Actually about 30 miles north of Daytona Beach on A1A there is a place that serves alligator tail. It tasted like a mild lobster to me and I have been there about 12 times. 1 time each bike week. For goat brains, I go to White Castle

That's the little fella (such a cutie, pelosi not so much) As soon as you posted his(her's) pic I immediately thought of Nancy. I can't be the first to have seen the resemblance.

GreenState Oh no, I'm sure dozens of others immediately thought, Nancy Pelosi when they say his face. Don't worry, there is consensus on this issue.

And I think Pelosi is cute as a button. It's just that old women aren't thought of as "cute," and they go out of their way to take unflattering pictures (as the other side does of Trump). But she's a cute old broad, as am I. Cute and wrinkled.

Now we're getting into humanization? Animalification? y'all be a bunch of hallucinating fools. Probably Satan worshipers, too.

I am no fan of Pelosi, nor am I a fan of our bumbling emperor. Anyone have a pet that resembles his "highness"?

Gingerbeard Yes, old women are fully human. I am a wise and learnéd old woman, I'll be 67 in a month. Being this wise and visionary, suffering no fools gladly, occasionally acting very juvenile, communing with my plants and Mother Nature. These are my rights, I have earned them.

This is the only politicalish post I'm going to do @alltatup.
I don't consider things like those 'rights.' Those things... simply... are things. When people use the word 'rights' they generally refer to the good ol' Constitution. Guns and free speech are rights. Not much in there about tree hugging and quilting bees. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? It's not just you they're talking about. If Bubba sheep farmer has his favorite ewe, fshht, who am I to say. Being able to enjoy ourselves, without hurting others... simply... is a thing.
And just because we have 'rights' doesn't mean they're 'right.' I don't believe open carry laws are right. Do gangs get to carry? Crazy, drunk neighbor? Gingerbeard? It's too easy for people to snap and draw. If I can open carry a pistol, how about a shotgun or long rifle?
Right. Off my soapbox. So go hug and quilt and polish crystals because they are simply things you do and enjoy. I will worry if any of those things become 'rights.'
Is it your right to be a beautiful, fully human woman? Nah. You simply... are.
