odd question

so here's is a question for sealing a room.

I have some roof rubber left from a job, would this be a great way to seal the room up, instead of plastic?

my theory would be stud with installation, screw rubber along top then place drywall paint with drylock (white).

What kind of roof rubber? Is it flat roofing membrane? If so it should be okay if you seal the seams well.

Are you talking about sealing out air or water? I built my grow space with plywood, caulked all corners and painted with flat white paint. I did use strips of rubber roofing for the door gasket to prevent light leaks.

its the rubber you roll out on roofs then use tar to seal to roof. i am trying to create a sealed room fully ( no water or air).

tar paste will be used on seams with 3 inch over lay.
