Growing in Roch wool .someone know if there is different buy R W at garden 🪴 or build supply. All I have found is building R W is she itchy?
And when I gro the seeds. In R W . Should I put in micro little nurturing A and B and some for the roots. Tanks

Or even better start them using aeroponics. Google search how to make an aeroponics cloner. You can start seed in them if you need but I haven't tried that.

IIRC, construction/insulation mineral wool is made out of various types of rocks and minerals depending on what the manufacturer is trying to achieve whereas horticultural rockwool is made from rock basalt. They're both fairly close so I'm not sure if you could use mineral wool for growing and not have issues.

The only thing I would say is a con with using insulation rockwool would be that it may have formaldehyde along with it not having the same water holding properties that horticultural rockwool has.

Seeds have enough energy in them that they don't need to be fed nutrient. Once they've sprouted they're first set of leaves you can pretty much count on having a usable root system and can water accordingly.

I prefer rapid rooters but they absorb and hold water at a different rate then rock wool. Once I started them in RR and then put the RR in a RC cube and because the RR pulled in and held so much water from the RWthe stems rotted at the RR. I only tried that once so I'd take that as bro science
