Nutrients to plant size ratio

I've been keeping track of my 2 girls' feeding schedule like a good boy and I've noticed something. .. Size of plant doesn't really determine how much nutrients they need. If you notice, my auto flower is in flower now, 4 feet tall. Her nutrients are less than have of the recommended dose of the feeding chart and has been her whole life. She does however require more than the recommended dose of cal mag every week.

Her photosensitive sister on the other hand stands at only a few inches high. Although the same age, she has been mainlined and kept small until her auto sister is done blooming. This small plant takes more than twice the amount of nutrients as her 4 ft tall sister with no sign of nutrient burn at all. What things could play a part in this? This tiny plant absorbs nutrition.

To me it means your auto could take more nutes...I'm going to push my baby auto till she shows signs of burn then I will know to back down from there....I want her to take as much as she can handle..it's her decision not mine I guess

That's how I determined how much she could handle. She showed signs of N toxicity more than anything. She seems happy to me. Being in flower now I don't want to push it anymore.

I'm not sure if it's a rule across the board, but when I've grown auto-flowering strains they always seem to be more sensitive to nutrient burn than photoperiod plants! I've heard other growers say the same thing. I think auto-flowering strains may tend to want slightly lower levels of nutrients in general

Size doesn't matter! lol-
Strain is more indicative of nute usage-
Auto's are dosed at 1/2 the photo amount-per the seed banks info.
