Nutrient Question

I'm doing a DWC grow and bought GH flora trio. They sent me the FloraMicro hardwater, but my water out of the tap is only about 100ppm. Should I get the regular FloraMicro or will the Hardwater be ok?

I tried to look at the label differences between the two and cannot find a label for the hardwater FloraMicro. I think you may have problems with some of your trace and major minerals especially calcium. Hard water usually is high in calcium so FloraMicro may be lower in that and others micros to compensate for what they think you already have in the tank. This is especially true under LED lighting that has it's own calcium problem. Call them and ask them. Don't say your growing cannabis. Just tell them you are growing flowers if they ask. They are paranoid about the subject thinking that the feds are trying to entrap them. I can understand that - every time I hit too much I get paranoid and go hide in the corner - LOL:rolleyes: GH is a solid company and you should have no problem getting the right nutes.

PS. I sent Nebula a spreadsheet that does the calculations for reservoir size at whatever percentage nutes you want to use. I don't know if they have posted it anywhere yet but it is out there.

Let us know about GH customer service good or bad.

Good Luck.

Mañ'O'Green has it right. FloraMicro takes out a lot of calcium before anything else, so you can either supplement with CalMag if you have it already, or you can switch it out for regular FloraMicro. That being said, contacting GH is also good advice; they're actually quite nice whenever I've emailed them and it's possible that you might not need to spend any extra money.

@Mañ'O'Green: We have that awesome spreadsheet you made, but we haven't put it up yet. It's definitely on our 'to-do' list for sure!
