HELP! nutes

hi evryone this is my first grow i have question bout general hydroponics trio nutes.. or mixing nutes in general... when it gives the measurements per gallon of water ... my question is do i add the amount of nutes per every gallon of water thats going into my resivoir

if something says 1/2 tsp per gallon (of micro, gro, etc) and you have a 5 gallon reservoir (for instance) you will add 2.5 tsp of the given nutrient.
