There is another thread somewhere that talks about this. I have the same problem. The answer was yes, harvest what is ready and let the rest go longer if needed.
There are outdoors grown year round that need to be harvested up to three times with four weeks invetween harvests. Check out Mendocinos grows. They became famous for their humongous plants grown guerilla style
I had one that only got pinched once,looked like a y one branch matured much faster than the other,I cut off the one,used clear tape to cover the wound.It never missed a beat.
