Not sure if hps bulb I screwed in properly

So I was screwing in my hps bulb till the point it would not turn but I can still see a thread is this bad?

If it turns on its not a huge deal. Is it the same manufacturers for each? If not that could simply be different measurements... i wouldnt touch it though, depending whats hot and whats neutral, you will get a zap with the power on
