I have been growing for a while now and do pretty good. The problem I have is I don't get the super frosty look that a lot of growers do. I use a 600w HPS light and have good control over all other environmental factors. What can I do to increase my frosty look

Wow - You've been around here, a minute, haven't you? I'm a noob so my experience can't compare to yours. There are a couple of things I've learned already with my first grow: 1. Strain matters - My Sativa is as you describe glistening with trichomes...my Indicas, not so much. 2. I "believe" ( Hallelujah!) that my 315 W LEC is inducing the trichomes better than other lights might. These are autos at 50 days from sprout (Sativa) and 51 days (Indica)

I wish you much success!

I lean more towards the Indicas maybe that is it. I mean I get some great pot it just doesn't get covered in trics

I have been following these for a while now, I'm wondering if it could be the glass on my lights, I have heard that it could block the infrared light

My experience is flipped.... My Sativa dom plants have all had WAY LESS trics than this OGKush. She has trics on her FAN leaves for cryin out loud!!

jwar, that is heartening for me to hear. Only one of my Indicas is starting to show some trichomes. If yours don'r either but the smoke is good - who cares?
