Plants; 1 Razzenperrger, small but cut and curing.
6 Unknown, 2 turned male-gone. 4 got pollinated, dried anyway to try, mediocre, I may toss.
2 Summer Lemons, moved outside when I found male plants.Decent weather until now. Rain moving in so I moved them back in a couple of days ago. Found this this morning.:super-cry: I think it may be bud rot starting, but the white web like patch I'm not sure of. I picked inside of it with tweezers and it looks like rot is starting. I'm going to dig deeper and update later. If it's what I think it is I,m going start cutting the top buds.:sweating:

I think you're right, rot setting in. The white might be bugs, hard to tell on the pix but it could also be just mold starting. Chop those affected buds for the best chance at saving any. If you can, get the humidity as low as possible to slow the spread.

Had that white on a few of my summer lemon buds. Definitely mold. Lost about a third of that one too. Had to harvest about a week earlier than I wanted. Definitely a tough year outdoors for me. Mold and bud rot took quite a bit.

Live and learn; I salvaged about 25% from the lower branches.:sad-frown: Most I didn't see until I started cutting. Change my thinking for next yr. No outdoor grow. Since I have the room, indoor only! :straight-face:It pays to have a surplus from previous grows.

Bummer with the mold! I have similar concerns with my two, budding, 8' photos after 3" of rain the past two days.

That aside, may I suggest investing in feminized seeds from a quality seed bank? While free, unknown seeds are financially attractive, you lost 1/3 of your yield to the males, another 3/4 to mold, plus your time tending to them. From six seeds your yield was equivalent to one healthy plant. The seed banks will have 20% to 30% THC strains that also finish fast and/or have mold resistant genetics suitable to your local growing conditions. You can always make your own feminized seeds from the new plants you grow. Super easy - I have made hundreds, both autos and photos - and cheap.

Thanks everyone for your fine comments. I hope a lot of new growers know how to read and learn like I have. No more street seeds. Thanks to G2F and a few contest wins I have plenty of quality seeds. The Summer Lemons were my best yet, but the Fla weather [rain] in Va. did me in!

They say its a good idea to put plants in a the shower when you bring them inside so wash off the hitchhikers. The time I did that it took 2 years to get rid of the spider mites. Never again

I agree with Allenpro and wash all my buds after harvesting. I use a hydrogen peroxide solution, then baking soda and lemon juice solution, then a final tap water rinse. Drip dry then into the drying room. Reason: Outdoor grows, so it washes spoors, dust and other contaminants off the buds. IMO, it does not hurt them.
