Northern Lights

It's my first grow and I think 💭 I have all of my major issues sorted out. I am growing Northern Lights and will be doing LST in an effort to maximize the use of my limited space. My question at the 2 week mark is, my seedling isn't growing very tall. Check out the picture below. Is this normal for this strain at this stage?

if you give us more details re rh, temps, growing media, lights...all that geeky stuff would help us help you. At first sight it does look overfed but nothing deadly, nitrogen toxicity comes to mind.

Ok. Here you go. RH is about 50%, temp is around 85. I'm doing DWC with 300w Mars Hydro light in a 4' tall box that has plenty of ventilation. I had to set up a room humidifier in order to get the RH where it is now. I'm using General Hydroponics 3 part nutrient system at the GH recommended ratios which I intend to reduce by at least 50% at my next water change.

Ah! Here are them numbers! Cool, yeah I'd skip the nutes on your next round and stick to water in case N is building up. 85 should probably be your max temp. But...before you do anything make sure your ph is all good but you do hydro so you're all tuned to that.

Just raise your lights a bit so the plant stretches to reach it. When the plant is already in the "sweet spot" under the light then it has nowhere to grow. Give it some space to fill into

Cool. I will raise my light this afternoon. 12/18" is the sweet spot. How high do you suggest?
Thanks for the post👍

Northern lights is a tall strain, LST is a good idea, if not at least SCROG.They also really stretch a lot in flower.

Ok fellow growers. Hold on to your clippers. I've defoliated and finally got to LST. The first pic was taken on 1/4. Its hard to believe, but since that shot was taken my little girls have really gotten more foliage. So much so that today I did the deal. I took all of the largest fan leaves 🍃 and pulled my branches down. It's been at least 3 weeks since I could really get down to see the net pots. I have what looks to me like mold on the surface of the growing media. It's not a lot but it is there. Could this be from high humidity? My water level is well below the bottom of the net pots. I'm looking to do maybe 3 more weeks in veg. Then it's into flower photoperiod. ( Will switch to 12/12 ). Let's keep our fingers crossed 🤞 for the next couple of days. I hope my technique pays off.
