SOIL no growth

I have planted seeds and they sprout just fine and then stop growing . They dont die but there just the same in three weeks as they were in three days .
 
We'll need more info to be able to help you. What strain? What type of lighting? How close are the lights? What ph water/how often are you watering? What temperature is the grow room? Sorry to list so much, but a lot of factors come into play for growth rate.

water ph? In an out ?
Type soil or whatever your using ?
kind of lights your using ,an how far away it is from your seedlings?
 
I agree with the above posters; more information would be more helpful if you want us to help you better. Pics would be nice too if possible. However, I'm going to take a wild, wild guess a say that perhaps you over-watered her and her young, delicate roots drowned and stunted the growth before they even had a chance to develop properly. Either that, or you packed the soil too tight and the roots are having a hard time growing? Again, just a wild guess.
 
Morning Cannabis, I bet your wild, wild guess, is right on the money, it's easy to overwater seedlings, when you think about how small those roots are, it's easy to see they can't use much water , but it takes practice first, I know it took my hard head awhile to learn that.
 
D.A.A.S.69 Good morning my friend. You're exactly right. I myself was super guilty of this practice as well. Even now, if I'm not careful, I can easily lose a plant or two due to over-watering at its early stages. Over-watering seems to be one of the #1 problems for new growers due to the excitement lol.
 
Hey D.A.A.S.69 and @Cannablis, i totally agree with you guys. It sounds like OP may have been overwatering. I, just like you guys, have run into this problem more times than i can count or would like to admit.lol At this stage in the time cycle i would imagine OP should have enough growth to need a transplant for his little girls. I know at 3 weeks i usually need to up them into their next pots
 
Lol yeah DAAS, i have resorted to just using a spray bottle for seedlings and i wait for them to show signs before checking the soil. It saves a lot of headaches
 
Jackf21792 and D.A.A.S.69 I usually keep them in their humidity dome between 2 - 3 weeks while I manually top feed them R.O. water only when they need it using a dropper as well. I also found out that the Grodan1.5" rockwool cubes tend to be a bit too compacted for some roots to easily grow through. I've had a few past experiences where the newly sprouted seedling stunted for a couple of days due to this very issue. Sometimes I would have to manually open the rockwool cube in half and carefully free the taproot. I went to my nearest hydro store a while back and bought a cheaper rockwool brand that wasn't as compacted. I haven't had any issues with my tap roots since then. They also don't hold water as long as Grodan's, so that helps in not drowning the roots too early in the growth.
 
That sounds just right Cannabliss with that rockwool, I've had my seedlings stall several times when their roots hit FFOF, I used to think it was to hot for em, but I found out the 2 big sacks of it that I got ,the soil PH was under 5.0 , that was the reason, I ain't using that FFOF anymore.
 
That's interesting D.A.A.S.69. I was thinking of perhaps growing in soil sometime next year, since I normally grow in DWC. So you don't recommend FFOF? What about Happy Frog or the Light Warrior for seed starting?

Yeah Cannabis, where I live we ain't got many places close by, so we're stuck with what they got, I'm thinking those sacks I got might have been sitting there for years, hell, I don't know, and the ole man that sells it he don't know sh-t either.
From now on growing inside I'm using coco ,an for outdoors I'm sticking with that delta soil ,it's free and plenty of it.
 
Happy frog is good for me. I am two weeks in and it is working wonders. I did about 30 percent perlite. No nutes yet. I ph'd the water to 6.3ish. Just watered around the plant not directly on it. I hope it works I to the grow as it started. This is her today.

This is my first grow ever. So shooting 1 for 1 so far. I would definitely reccomend it. Only thing is there isn't really any nutrients so u will definitely have to add those at a later date. I haven't added any yet.
